This “Stonehenge Structure” has established itself in many organizations. It signals that departments or groups are not communicating or exchanging communication, effectively, and the the top-management has separated into a separate group – disconnected from the employees of the organization.
Whenever people hold back information, tiptoe around each other or aren’t fully honest, this structure is likely to govern the organization. It leads to dissatisfaction, disengagement and a reduction of the team’s potential to perform.
